Patience is a Virtue

Yes people it is out there for the grabbing now. The Motorola Xoom is being sold for $800 from Verizon. I must confess that is a bummer, especially due to the fact that Verizon is restricting WiFi capabilities unless 1month of data subscription is bought. Now that is a low play by Verizon. But anyway I am just happy I so not have to worry about Verizon. Sadly however, if Verizon is selling it for $800, how much would it cost me to get it all the way to Jamaica? A lot!

My eyes have turned from the now and I must say I am now looking forward for April to come along. I certainly will not buy any tablet until Acer and Apple makes their release. If I remember correctly Apply normally keeps around the same price when upgrades are done, therefore with their new iPad (iPad 2) I am looking for a round $600 - $700 for the 16GB and $800 - $900 for the 64GB. That’s all speculation however. If that is the case, Apple will have it over all the tablets coming out, for me that is.

I was looking forward to a tablet that is not from Apple due to their lacking of flash but it seems that at the end of it all I will have to ask myself; what do I want the tablet for? Is flash a necessity for me? The answer will definitely lead me to the ideal tablet.

Confession App!!

If you are a sinner you can now seek salvation from this new app called Confession. iTunes recent app was approved by the Roman Catholic Church, and is being sold for $1.99. You no longer need to run to church immediately when you sin so not to forget the details of the actions you need to confess.

You may be wondering how does this even work. Well as you can see from the image above, it lets you select a commandment and tick off all your since. Now you have a list to carry into confessional with you. And if you are extra bad and do not see your bad deeds, thats no problem at all. You will be able to add your own twisted acts that the authors didn't think anyone would.

Technology is truly creeping in every sector of live.

Comparison Between The Latest Tablets

Hey people, there are three new tablets out now for us to get a hold of if we desire owning one. Base on the respective specs for the new HP Touch Pad, Motorola Xoom and Blackberry Playbook we can see how far we have come. The iPad had to be thrown in the bunch as it is the only worthy contender from 2010.

For all fairness, let me just point out that this in no way reflects in a bad way on Apple as we are yet to see what they will come out with. Although a little predictable, I must say that Apple will still be a big contender with the Tablet this year, especially if the price for the new iPad 2 is the same as the current iPad.

My favorite from the listing I have below is definitely the Motorola Xoom but the HP Touch Pad is really making me look twice. Still it is best to wait and see what Apple will come with and also what Acer will be pushing (out the awesome Acer Iconia Tab a500). Feel free to review the specifications below and I hope this helps you in choosing the tablet that is right for you.

Verizon's Bad Move

Android Moves Forward!

It has been a while now since I have created a post and it was mostly due to me pondering what to talk about. Not that there is nothing but there is so much, and very little time. February is the month when a few gadgets will launch like the tablet Motorola Xoom, which really catches my eyes, along with other stuff that works with Android. That is the reason I wanted to talk about Android’s move forward.

Now Android is just wonderful so far. Although I have never owned an Android phone but base on what I am seeing I need one. Apple always set the trend technologically coming out with high tech equipment and electronic devices that cost a lot. All in all Apple was doing a good job and still is, except for the price maybe. I always viewed Apple to be great for business and fun, with its high connectivity (everything can be in sync, your phone, laptop, mac, external hard drive, etc.), flexibility and reliability. Now Android is being seen fit for all of that.

Android is now working on the Honeycomb which made especially for tablets and the Gingerbread is for the phones. But what I love is the way they make this new software be so compatible with the current version and the devices do not require much for the upgrade. Now all that could have been done on Apple can be done on Windows and be a little more affordable. I have the video with Android 3.0 Honeycomb in action. It is almost 1 hour long but it’s worth the watch for anyone who is remotely interested in Tablets which is growing rapidly in the gadget market.

So let me get into talking about the Motorola Xoom. It will be great, I must say that. It has me wondering if I should go with it or the Acer Iconia Tab A500. The specs are amazing so I will leave my readers to make their own decisions on which they think is best. The specification for the Motorola Xoom is as listed;

  1. 1 GHz dual-core Nvidia Tegra 2 processor
  2. 10.1” 1280X800 gorilla touch screen display
  3. 1080p video and HDMI output
  4. 32 GB internal storage (will need software update for SD support)
  5. 1 GB DDR2 RAM
  6. 5 megapixel rear-facing camera, 720p Video capture
  7. 2 megapixel front-facing camera
  8. Gyroscope, barometer, e-compass, accelerometer
  9. 3G and Wifi connectivity
  10. HDMI 2.0, USB 2.0, 3.5mm Audio Jack

Now as I mentioned earlier the Android phones will be able to work with the Tablets in real time and quite easily. Therefore I decided to look at two of the top phones that with be running the latest Android for the phone. They are the Sony Ericsson Xperia Arc and the LG Optimus 2X. I will not put the specs here as by clicking on the names you will see all of that. That is where we are now with technology and we are moving forward faster every quarter (3 months). I look forward to all that is to come, as long as robots do not take over the world.
