Christmas Is Around The Corner

OK Christmas is coming and all sort of festivities. Its all good and wonderful but guess what; I wont be getting anything for myself. And no -- Its not because I do not want to or cause I cant be bothered its all because I simple can't.

Oh and do not get me wrong. I am not some lazy bum sitting or lugging around not doing anything. Not at all. I have been working my ass off but in the end where is the reward. Sigh but I am hopeful and there are things I would like.

Nintendo 3DS

I would rock that. I mean many times I am at home all board and thing and sometime I am so bored I go places I need not go for entertainment, being all open to danger and thing but if I had a 3DS I would be straight at home everyday right after work unless I am requested by a friend. Plus it would be a good stress reliever.

Blackberry Curve 8520

Please note '8520' I need one of this and no its not for hype or to boast its for business. I mean why the hell not. They were made (RIM devices) for business people which without doubt I am and yet still I don't have one I do need one however. How would this be good for me...it would make work easier. I will complete tasks more, set appointments and plan effectively, have a proper contact list, be able to view documents and files on the go and keep in contact with co-workers.

But hey I'm going to take it one day at a time. I will be home all alone trying to read a book and oh guess what sleep for 12 hrs a day or more and wake to eat and have a bath and there...a cycle is sprung. In the midst however I will have work...yes work and guess what else I still have no money sigh.

Yixar Enterprise

OK Dec 1st is the planned launch date for a new company coming out called Yixar Enterprise. I will be giving a link to the Facebook page for the business and any other links for my readers to be able to get up to date and also participate in helping this new business grow to higher heights.

This business is co-owned by two young individuals who have the ideology of filling the gaps that are not being filled and ensuring that customers get the answers to the questions they have and not something we feel or others feel that they want. I cant wait for this plan and company to come into fruition.

Keep looking out for the news on Yixar Enterprise and feel free to comment and follow this blog.

Post For 11/11/11

Its a new day for me and I plan to start the next month with certain things in mind. I started with having an online presence and will be kicking that up a notch. I have sooo busy with life on a whole and getting certain tings in order. I have been trying too hard to do everything on my own...trying to carry the weight of my burdens all alone.

Now I am taking it one day at a time and putting God to the forefront of it all. Hope to start off December with a post and continued updates for a long time to come. I will continue to share my interests and other knowledge I find note worthy.

Bless up to all my readers :)

What I Have Been Up To

Well I have been busy and without iinternet for some time but I am back now. I want to just make mention of two thing today;
  1. BumpTop
  2. WoW BliZ
Well BumpTop is a desktop software that if use properly can turn your desktop in a true work space. Now you can finally have alot of stuff on your desktop and find them easily and access them with little or no hassel. When installed it turns your desktop into a 3D space, looking somewhat like a room, giving you the freedom to toss files around, pile them up or even hang them on a wall.

To get the program you can visit here and if you want to read more about it you can check this link out.

Now WoW BliZ is a site I am working on along with a dear friend :). We strive to make it informative to all the gamers in the World of Warcraft department. Its a place to share information, knowledge and get access to exclusive stuff that will help take your gaming to a high level.

Please take the time out to visit WoW BliZ and if you are indeed a gamer of WoW them make sure you visit the first dedicated site created to see some great stuff and ensure you check out the blogroll.

Till next time people.

A New Start

I just finished re-installing my OS and is was great. Well it was more of me doing a formating and then an update but hey Windows 7 Ultimate is what I am using now, couldn’t be happier. With all of that happening some readers will realize that my posts will become more personal. Reason for that is that I do not take a long time to make posts like this. Its at the tip of my fingers Smile.

I always take time in doing the posts I make that is to critque or inform others and time is what I do not have right now. All is well though with the world…I hope and I am oving forward as always. I am out and hopefully I will drop something here again soon.

It has been a while and I figured this would be a good post to make in my return. Great poetry here.

Patience is a Virtue

Yes people it is out there for the grabbing now. The Motorola Xoom is being sold for $800 from Verizon. I must confess that is a bummer, especially due to the fact that Verizon is restricting WiFi capabilities unless 1month of data subscription is bought. Now that is a low play by Verizon. But anyway I am just happy I so not have to worry about Verizon. Sadly however, if Verizon is selling it for $800, how much would it cost me to get it all the way to Jamaica? A lot!

My eyes have turned from the now and I must say I am now looking forward for April to come along. I certainly will not buy any tablet until Acer and Apple makes their release. If I remember correctly Apply normally keeps around the same price when upgrades are done, therefore with their new iPad (iPad 2) I am looking for a round $600 - $700 for the 16GB and $800 - $900 for the 64GB. That’s all speculation however. If that is the case, Apple will have it over all the tablets coming out, for me that is.

I was looking forward to a tablet that is not from Apple due to their lacking of flash but it seems that at the end of it all I will have to ask myself; what do I want the tablet for? Is flash a necessity for me? The answer will definitely lead me to the ideal tablet.

Confession App!!

If you are a sinner you can now seek salvation from this new app called Confession. iTunes recent app was approved by the Roman Catholic Church, and is being sold for $1.99. You no longer need to run to church immediately when you sin so not to forget the details of the actions you need to confess.

You may be wondering how does this even work. Well as you can see from the image above, it lets you select a commandment and tick off all your since. Now you have a list to carry into confessional with you. And if you are extra bad and do not see your bad deeds, thats no problem at all. You will be able to add your own twisted acts that the authors didn't think anyone would.

Technology is truly creeping in every sector of live.

Comparison Between The Latest Tablets

Hey people, there are three new tablets out now for us to get a hold of if we desire owning one. Base on the respective specs for the new HP Touch Pad, Motorola Xoom and Blackberry Playbook we can see how far we have come. The iPad had to be thrown in the bunch as it is the only worthy contender from 2010.

For all fairness, let me just point out that this in no way reflects in a bad way on Apple as we are yet to see what they will come out with. Although a little predictable, I must say that Apple will still be a big contender with the Tablet this year, especially if the price for the new iPad 2 is the same as the current iPad.

My favorite from the listing I have below is definitely the Motorola Xoom but the HP Touch Pad is really making me look twice. Still it is best to wait and see what Apple will come with and also what Acer will be pushing (out the awesome Acer Iconia Tab a500). Feel free to review the specifications below and I hope this helps you in choosing the tablet that is right for you.

Verizon's Bad Move

Android Moves Forward!

It has been a while now since I have created a post and it was mostly due to me pondering what to talk about. Not that there is nothing but there is so much, and very little time. February is the month when a few gadgets will launch like the tablet Motorola Xoom, which really catches my eyes, along with other stuff that works with Android. That is the reason I wanted to talk about Android’s move forward.

Now Android is just wonderful so far. Although I have never owned an Android phone but base on what I am seeing I need one. Apple always set the trend technologically coming out with high tech equipment and electronic devices that cost a lot. All in all Apple was doing a good job and still is, except for the price maybe. I always viewed Apple to be great for business and fun, with its high connectivity (everything can be in sync, your phone, laptop, mac, external hard drive, etc.), flexibility and reliability. Now Android is being seen fit for all of that.

Android is now working on the Honeycomb which made especially for tablets and the Gingerbread is for the phones. But what I love is the way they make this new software be so compatible with the current version and the devices do not require much for the upgrade. Now all that could have been done on Apple can be done on Windows and be a little more affordable. I have the video with Android 3.0 Honeycomb in action. It is almost 1 hour long but it’s worth the watch for anyone who is remotely interested in Tablets which is growing rapidly in the gadget market.

So let me get into talking about the Motorola Xoom. It will be great, I must say that. It has me wondering if I should go with it or the Acer Iconia Tab A500. The specs are amazing so I will leave my readers to make their own decisions on which they think is best. The specification for the Motorola Xoom is as listed;

  1. 1 GHz dual-core Nvidia Tegra 2 processor
  2. 10.1” 1280X800 gorilla touch screen display
  3. 1080p video and HDMI output
  4. 32 GB internal storage (will need software update for SD support)
  5. 1 GB DDR2 RAM
  6. 5 megapixel rear-facing camera, 720p Video capture
  7. 2 megapixel front-facing camera
  8. Gyroscope, barometer, e-compass, accelerometer
  9. 3G and Wifi connectivity
  10. HDMI 2.0, USB 2.0, 3.5mm Audio Jack

Now as I mentioned earlier the Android phones will be able to work with the Tablets in real time and quite easily. Therefore I decided to look at two of the top phones that with be running the latest Android for the phone. They are the Sony Ericsson Xperia Arc and the LG Optimus 2X. I will not put the specs here as by clicking on the names you will see all of that. That is where we are now with technology and we are moving forward faster every quarter (3 months). I look forward to all that is to come, as long as robots do not take over the world.

The New Generation Portable (NGP PSP)

For all the gamers out there the new generation of PlayStation Portable is no longer a dream and will soon be ready to rock our world. It will have the codename Next Generation Portable (NGP). It will also come with loads of specs that put it to the top in its category of portable gaming. Base on my research and what Engadget is saying, this device will be centered on five concepts that are new to the PlayStation Portable: Revolutionary User Interface, Social Connectivity, Location-based Entertainment, Converging Real and Virtual (augmented) Reality.

Now the specification that this gadget will have includes;
  1. A quad-core ARM Cortex-A9 processor
  2. A 5-inch touchscreen OLED display with 960 x 544 resolution
  3. Dual analog sticks
  4. 3G capability
  5. WiFi connectivity
  6. Bluetooth 2.1
  7. On-board GPS
  8. A rear-mounted touch pad
  9. Accelerometer/Gyroscope motion sensing as in the PlayStation Move
  10. An electronic compass
  11. Plus cameras on the front and back

Just like the PSP Go there will be no UMD and we do not know what kind of flash memory will be used but I am expecting at least 32GB of internal memory and the usual Micro SD card slot although I do not really see mention of such a slot. All in all I hope we do not have to worry much about the memory.

I look forward to this new product among many other but PlayStation Portable has always been my favorite when it comes to portable game play. To see more pictures of this remarkable product click here. There are a few videos of the NGP in action also which can be viewed here. Hope you all enjoyed this article.

Jamaica's Need

Jamaica is a wonderful country but is currently in a very bad shape as far as I am concerned. That is for citizens at least. If you have the money and time I will recommend anyone to make a trip down here and spend some time on the coast. Even do a road trip; that would be fun. Basically live the life of a Jamaican a little, the good life. But along with everything that is good you have the bad which we the citizens will always feel.

I am not inclined to what the Government do, but based on what I am seeing, the Government right now could not be described as a strong, proud Ox, to look at things figuratively. Instead the Government is like a snake, slithering across the island seeking out how best to poison its prey, slowly stripping them of all that they have. Then you have the monopolists in the country who are like reptiles none the less but worst. They are like Pythons or Anacondas which squeezes out everything you have. Enough of all the figurative speech however, let’s get down and dirty with the situation in my point of view.

I do not see what sense it makes for us as a people in Jamaica to be quarreling and fighting over which party should take over. Both sides are the same, except for how they waste our money. Well some may say, “Who is he to talking about money?” or “Who does he think he is?” but the fact of the matter is that anyone with an education can come in and realize that something is not right.

Then the monopolists have no heart at all. I mean, yes you are out to make a profit but it would be good to get one million (1,000,000) here or there than nothing at all. The way they treat people, they force some to start stealing. C&W was one of the biggest monopoly companies in Jamaica in the area of Telecommunication and is now known as LIME and they were hated. They were cruel when they charged for the service they offered and many persons suffered. Now they are feeling it and it will only get worst for them in Jamaica. Since Digicel came in less people felt the need to have a house phone and now Flow came in and is providing Landline, Cable (television) and Internet. Based on what I have seen many persons are just waiting for Flow to reach all over the island to put LIME in the sack. I will not bother to get into details with how JPS is being cruel to the people of Jamaica but let me just say, that every business has a time.

Jamaica needs improvement in many areas in the business sector. It is time for persons with creative ideas to come up and implement the ideas to make this country grow rather than being stagnant or regress. Although I used just one sentence to say that ideas should be implemented, it will not be easy but it will be worth a try. Other means of acquiring electricity needs to be considered. The Government needs to be watched keenly and look out for the people; as if there is no one around whom will they govern. The laws of the country need to be abided. Finally everyone should have the same goal to see Jamaica being able to provide a proper place to make the younger generation want to stay in the country. All of that is just a start and if considered will make this country a better one for those who live in it.

The Green Hornet Trailer

The Green Hornet 2011: Review

I just finished watching The Green Hornet and must say I completely enjoyed it, except for the grossly annoying and self-conceited character Britt Reid played by Seth Rogen. All in all it is what I am expecting from 2011 with regards to movies. I must also say I was very much pleased with the character Kato played by Jay Chou. I am really looking forward to other action movies with him in it. To me he is like the new Jet Li. This movie actually made me set my eyes on him so I am going to watch all the movies with him except Curse of the Golden Flower, seen that one already.

The Green Hornet was very enjoyable and it started off this year wonderfully. I am looking forward to more great movies and I greatly recommend that you all take the time out to watch this movie. If you all have not seen the trailer as yet click here.

Moog Acid-Bluegrass Lap Steel

If you are into guitars this may be for you. I do not know much about guitars. All I really know is that they are stringed instruments that can be plucked or strummed and if you know some cool notes can make some awesome music. The other thing I know is that I want to learn how to just rock on with a 5 string bass guitar and make some wicked music.

Now there are a set of people who play guitars on their lap. That doesn’t sound so interesting but Moog just made somewhat more exciting. I mean the new Acid-Bluegrass sounds awesome and seem so easy to play. See below for a picture of this this machine, the Hawaiian metallic instrument.

Microsoft Surface 2.0 and Smartphones

Well 2011 is taking a grand turn to push in the era of technology. All the things we have seen in Star Wars and other science fiction are actually coming into the present. Talk about not being a brick in the wall. Now we are talking about all the hi-tech laptops, smartphones, tablets, etc. There is so much that I do not even know what to start with. I can’t even keep up to speed with it all even if I put only what matters. So I will just dedicate this article to a few I found to be interesting.

First of all the Microsoft Surface 2.0, makes a new definition for a table and also makes customer relationship so hands on and barrier less. The picture to the right just shows a table but that is it. The Microsoft Surface 2.0, has multi-touch capabilities and revolutionizes the business place with its uses and features to make the office quite interesting.

Make content more engaging. Give your customers immersive and collaborative ways to engage with photos, videos, documents, maps, custom applications, and more.

Plan and simulate. Bring to life real-time "if/then" modeling and visualization, simulations and calculations—perfect for financial services, healthcare, and other consultative environments.

Make learning more fun. Breathe new life into the education process with rich visualizations that encourage teamwork and enhance learning.

Microsoft Surface 2.0 in a doctor's office.
Transform the shopping experience. Make shopping more immersive by connecting customers with more options, recommendations, product and service comparisons, and personalized service.

Connect with customers through games and pastimes. Have some fun by putting Surface in restaurants, bars, hotel lobbies, and other venues, associating memorable experiences with your brand.

Communicate and connect. Give people an efficient and intriguing new way to get the information they’re looking for—like maps and tourist destinations in a hotel lobby. Or use it to help them exchange personal information so they can connect with each other and to your business.

HTC Thunderbot 4G
HTC Inspire 4G
I have not been even looking at any phones because there are just so many. I don’t even know where to start, but I have concluded and decided that my approach will be just to make mentions. GSM Arena has been my place for comparisons and to see all the specs. So I will be directing you all to see everything in full. Firstly let us look at HTC. They have jumped up so much on the market and are making some great improvements. The HTC Thunderbolt 4G is out with some improvements, like from facing camera and larger internal storage, of 8GB. However that runs on CDMA and 3G so not everyone can have that. My favorite however is the HTC Inspire 4G which is the upgrade from the HTC Desire HD. Very small changes but HTC was already ahead so it’s no biggie. Some more changes to the design would be greatly appreciated but what is in the frame is of great importance. So those are the two phones from HTC I wish to mention, coming out further down in 2011.

Samsung i997 Infuse 4G
Samsung on the other hand wants to bring to us super AMOLED plus capacitive screen. The Samsung i997 Infuse 4G has bigger display of 4.5inches and the swipe text input which is quite scarce I must say. This smartphone will also have the capability to capture videos in 1080p and of course it has 8MP, with 3264x2448 pixels. All in all this will be an awesome phone to have while doing your business or just capturing moments you never want to forget.

There are a lot more but those are my top 3 favorites. Click her to see videos of the phones in action, the HTC Thunderbolt 4G, HTC Inspire 4G and finally the Samsung i997 Infuse 4G. So that’s it I guess…for now. If anyone is interested in gadgets and technology Engadget is for everything and GSM Arena is for all you phones. Remember to check my blog for some reviews and my point of view.

Acer Iconia Tab A500 Video Review

Acer Iconia Tab A500

Well yesterday I looked at the new Acer Iconia and that was rather interesting as Acer brings laptops in a new era of full touch capabilities. Well today I will be looking at the potential iPad killer. Now we know that iPad have a knack of not being what most Microsoft users want, need or expect. Yes, it lacks flash. Therefore browsing it not what we all would like. In 2011 manufacturers of slates not only will have flash which was available from 2010 but now with dual core processors. Now these slates will be as powerful as a laptop regarding processing power.

The new Acer Iconia Tab A500
Now to the new gadget this post is all about, the new Acer Iconia Tab A500. This amazing machine has a wide array of ports and a wonderful 10-inch screen with HD capabilities, running the new Tegra 2 chipset. This will definitely bring competition to the current iPad. I saw current as Apple is in the process of developing a new iPad rumored to have a dual core processor as well. But enough of me babbling about the Acer Iconia Tab A500, here are the full specification it will have upon launching;

  • 10.1-inch capacitive touchscreen
  • Full 1080p HD playback capabilities
  • nVidia Tegra 2 chipset (dual core 1 GHz processor)
  • LTE network
  • Built-in gyroscope
  • Runs Android 2.2 Froyo (will use Android Honeycomb when launched)
  • Acer UI 4.5
  • Clear.fi Media Share feature
  • built-in HDMI port,
  • Verizon Wireless 4G data plan
  • 3D gaming capabilities
  • Flash 10.1
  • Front and back cameras

Showing Clear.fi (new feature of Acer)
Now that is just one amazing piece of device and I will definitely try to get my hands on one of this. Any cons? I can’t think of none. This is flawless unless proven otherwise and it has not gotten the chance to as yet. This is said to launch around April this year or after. I won’t be surprised if earlier. We do not have any idea of the price but I figure it will be close to what the iPad is for. I don’t have all the specs listed but will definitely update this post when everything is more detailed. I have also included a video of this product so you can watch it in action. See video here :) Tell me what you think about this new product. Thanks for reading.

Acer Iconia (Full Review)

The previous video did not do justice to the Acer Iconia so I got this video to help everyone who visits this blog to really understand what this laptop can do. Enjoy :)

Acer Iconia In Action and Acer's Android Tablet

The New Acer Iconia

The new Acer Iconia
OK I am way into technology and must say I am interested in every gadget. You name it I am interested in it, may it be phones, laptops, slates, even external hard drives. It is now 2011 as we all know and I was not really expecting this product to be out so soon. I must say Acer is my favorite when it comes to laptops. Why? Affordability and quality.

Now to the point, Acer came out with the new Acer Iconia and the first batch was shipped out in December 2010. It will be available to everyone by January 15, 2011. Depending on where you are located in the world, or the links you have, you may get this wonderful product sooner than later.

The specs are pretty good. As always Acer makes laptops that are good for any ordinary person, however, the Acer Iconia on the other hand is a little biased but I won’t get into the bad news as yet. The specs are as follows;

  1. Intel Core i5-560 chip
  2. Integrated Intel HD graphics video card
  3. Two 14-inch displays with HD 1366 x 768
  4. High Brightness Acer CineCrystal LED-backlit TFT LCDs
  5. 4GB DDR3 of RAM (Up to 8GB upgradeable)
  6. 640GB HD (Hard Drive)
  7. 4 cell battery (may last after 3 hours)
  8. 802.11b/g/n Wireless and 3G Mobile Broadband

Using the Keyboard
Now to me that’s just awesome. Now it’s time for the cons. If you have not realized the Acer Iconia has two screens therefore the keyboard and the touch pad is fully touch screen. That will definitely take some time to get use to since it’s not a phone like the HTC Desire HD or iPhone 4. Also, when this laptop comes out January 15 prepare to fork up $1,800 - $2,200 for this beauty. The only other prob that I could come up with now is the fact that if you have only 3 fingers and a thumb or no thumb, basically just four appendages on your hand this may not be for you.

All in all this is an awesome product and I really like it. If I get my hands on it I will definitely give a personal, hands-on review.
