The new Acer Iconia |
Now to the point, Acer came out with the new Acer Iconia and the first batch was shipped out in December 2010. It will be available to everyone by January 15, 2011. Depending on where you are located in the world, or the links you have, you may get this wonderful product sooner than later.
The specs are pretty good. As always Acer makes laptops that are good for any ordinary person, however, the Acer Iconia on the other hand is a little biased but I won’t get into the bad news as yet. The specs are as follows;
- Intel Core i5-560 chip
- Integrated Intel HD graphics video card
- Two 14-inch displays with HD 1366 x 768
- High Brightness Acer CineCrystal LED-backlit TFT LCDs
- 4GB DDR3 of RAM (Up to 8GB upgradeable)
- 640GB HD (Hard Drive)
- 4 cell battery (may last after 3 hours)
- 802.11b/g/n Wireless and 3G Mobile Broadband
- S/PDIF interface gigabit Ethernet
- Bluetooth 3.0+HS
- 2 USB 2.0 ports and 1 USB 3.0 port
- An inbuilt microphone
- Acer’s CrystalEye webcam (1280×1024 resolution)
- VGA and HDMI outputs
- Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit operating system

Using the Keyboard |
Now to me that’s just awesome. Now it’s time for the cons. If you have not realized the Acer Iconia has two screens therefore the keyboard and the touch pad is fully touch screen. That will definitely take some time to get use to since it’s not a phone like the HTC Desire HD or iPhone 4. Also, when this laptop comes out January 15 prepare to fork up $1,800 - $2,200 for this beauty. The only other prob that I could come up with now is the fact that if you have only 3 fingers and a thumb or no thumb, basically just four appendages on your hand this may not be for you.
All in all this is an awesome product and I really like it. If I get my hands on it I will definitely give a personal, hands-on review.

nice blog, this guy is great!!!
