The New Generation Portable (NGP PSP)
For all the gamers out there the new generation of PlayStation Portable is no longer a dream and will soon be ready to rock our world. It will have the codename Next Generation Portable (NGP). It will also come with loads of specs that put it to the top in its category of portable gaming. Base on my research and what Engadget is saying, this device will be centered on five concepts that are new to the PlayStation Portable: Revolutionary User Interface, Social Connectivity, Location-based Entertainment, Converging Real and Virtual (augmented) Reality.
Now the specification that this gadget will have includes;
- A quad-core ARM Cortex-A9 processor
- A 5-inch touchscreen OLED display with 960 x 544 resolution
- Dual analog sticks
- 3G capability
- WiFi connectivity
- Bluetooth 2.1
- On-board GPS
- A rear-mounted touch pad
- Accelerometer/Gyroscope motion sensing as in the PlayStation Move
- An electronic compass
- Plus cameras on the front and back
Just like the PSP Go there will be no UMD and we do not know what kind of flash memory will be used but I am expecting at least 32GB of internal memory and the usual Micro SD card slot although I do not really see mention of such a slot. All in all I hope we do not have to worry much about the memory.
I look forward to this new product among many other but PlayStation Portable has always been my favorite when it comes to portable game play. To see more pictures of this remarkable product click here. There are a few videos of the NGP in action also which can be viewed here. Hope you all enjoyed this article.

Jamaica's Need
Jamaica is a wonderful country but is currently in a very bad shape as far as I am concerned. That is for citizens at least. If you have the money and time I will recommend anyone to make a trip down here and spend some time on the coast. Even do a road trip; that would be fun. Basically live the life of a Jamaican a little, the good life. But along with everything that is good you have the bad which we the citizens will always feel.
I am not inclined to what the Government do, but based on what I am seeing, the Government right now could not be described as a strong, proud Ox, to look at things figuratively. Instead the Government is like a snake, slithering across the island seeking out how best to poison its prey, slowly stripping them of all that they have. Then you have the monopolists in the country who are like reptiles none the less but worst. They are like Pythons or Anacondas which squeezes out everything you have. Enough of all the figurative speech however, let’s get down and dirty with the situation in my point of view.
I do not see what sense it makes for us as a people in Jamaica to be quarreling and fighting over which party should take over. Both sides are the same, except for how they waste our money. Well some may say, “Who is he to talking about money?” or “Who does he think he is?” but the fact of the matter is that anyone with an education can come in and realize that something is not right.
Then the monopolists have no heart at all. I mean, yes you are out to make a profit but it would be good to get one million (1,000,000) here or there than nothing at all. The way they treat people, they force some to start stealing. C&W was one of the biggest monopoly companies in Jamaica in the area of Telecommunication and is now known as LIME and they were hated. They were cruel when they charged for the service they offered and many persons suffered. Now they are feeling it and it will only get worst for them in Jamaica. Since Digicel came in less people felt the need to have a house phone and now Flow came in and is providing Landline, Cable (television) and Internet. Based on what I have seen many persons are just waiting for Flow to reach all over the island to put LIME in the sack. I will not bother to get into details with how JPS is being cruel to the people of Jamaica but let me just say, that every business has a time.
Jamaica needs improvement in many areas in the business sector. It is time for persons with creative ideas to come up and implement the ideas to make this country grow rather than being stagnant or regress. Although I used just one sentence to say that ideas should be implemented, it will not be easy but it will be worth a try. Other means of acquiring electricity needs to be considered. The Government needs to be watched keenly and look out for the people; as if there is no one around whom will they govern. The laws of the country need to be abided. Finally everyone should have the same goal to see Jamaica being able to provide a proper place to make the younger generation want to stay in the country. All of that is just a start and if considered will make this country a better one for those who live in it.

The Green Hornet 2011: Review
I just finished watching The Green Hornet and must say I completely enjoyed it, except for the grossly annoying and self-conceited character Britt Reid played by Seth Rogen. All in all it is what I am expecting from 2011 with regards to movies. I must also say I was very much pleased with the character Kato played by Jay Chou. I am really looking forward to other action movies with him in it. To me he is like the new Jet Li. This movie actually made me set my eyes on him so I am going to watch all the movies with him except Curse of the Golden Flower, seen that one already.
The Green Hornet was very enjoyable and it started off this year wonderfully. I am looking forward to more great movies and I greatly recommend that you all take the time out to watch this movie. If you all have not seen the trailer as yet click here.

Moog Acid-Bluegrass Lap Steel
If you are into guitars this may be for you. I do not know much about guitars. All I really know is that they are stringed instruments that can be plucked or strummed and if you know some cool notes can make some awesome music. The other thing I know is that I want to learn how to just rock on with a 5 string bass guitar and make some wicked music.
Now there are a set of people who play guitars on their lap. That doesn’t sound so interesting but Moog just made somewhat more exciting. I mean the new Acid-Bluegrass sounds awesome and seem so easy to play. See below for a picture of this this machine, the Hawaiian metallic instrument.

Microsoft Surface 2.0 and Smartphones
Well 2011 is taking a grand turn to push in the era of technology. All the things we have seen in Star Wars and other science fiction are actually coming into the present. Talk about not being a brick in the wall. Now we are talking about all the hi-tech laptops, smartphones, tablets, etc. There is so much that I do not even know what to start with. I can’t even keep up to speed with it all even if I put only what matters. So I will just dedicate this article to a few I found to be interesting.
First of all the Microsoft Surface 2.0, makes a new definition for a table and also makes customer relationship so hands on and barrier less. The picture to the right just shows a table but that is it. The Microsoft Surface 2.0, has multi-touch capabilities and revolutionizes the business place with its uses and features to make the office quite interesting.
Make content more engaging. Give your customers immersive and collaborative ways to engage with photos, videos, documents, maps, custom applications, and more.

Make learning more fun. Breathe new life into the education process with rich visualizations that encourage teamwork and enhance learning.

HTC Thunderbot 4G |

HTC Inspire 4G |
I have not been even looking at any phones because there are just so many. I don’t even know where to start, but I have concluded and decided that my approach will be just to make mentions. GSM Arena has been my place for comparisons and to see all the specs. So I will be directing you all to see everything in full. Firstly let us look at HTC. They have jumped up so much on the market and are making some great improvements. The HTC Thunderbolt 4G is out with some improvements, like from facing camera and larger internal storage, of 8GB. However that runs on CDMA and 3G so not everyone can have that. My favorite however is the HTC Inspire 4G which is the upgrade from the HTC Desire HD. Very small changes but HTC was already ahead so it’s no biggie. Some more changes to the design would be greatly appreciated but what is in the frame is of great importance. So those are the two phones from HTC I wish to mention, coming out further down in 2011.
![]() |
Samsung i997 Infuse 4G |
Samsung on the other hand wants to bring to us super AMOLED plus capacitive screen. The Samsung i997 Infuse 4G has bigger display of 4.5inches and the swipe text input which is quite scarce I must say. This smartphone will also have the capability to capture videos in 1080p and of course it has 8MP, with 3264x2448 pixels. All in all this will be an awesome phone to have while doing your business or just capturing moments you never want to forget.
There are a lot more but those are my top 3 favorites. Click her to see videos of the phones in action, the HTC Thunderbolt 4G, HTC Inspire 4G and finally the Samsung i997 Infuse 4G. So that’s it I guess…for now. If anyone is interested in gadgets and technology Engadget is for everything and GSM Arena is for all you phones. Remember to check my blog for some reviews and my point of view.

Acer Iconia Tab A500
Well yesterday I looked at the new Acer Iconia and that was rather interesting as Acer brings laptops in a new era of full touch capabilities. Well today I will be looking at the potential iPad killer. Now we know that iPad have a knack of not being what most Microsoft users want, need or expect. Yes, it lacks flash. Therefore browsing it not what we all would like. In 2011 manufacturers of slates not only will have flash which was available from 2010 but now with dual core processors. Now these slates will be as powerful as a laptop regarding processing power.

The new Acer Iconia Tab A500 |
Now to the new gadget this post is all about, the new Acer Iconia Tab A500. This amazing machine has a wide array of ports and a wonderful 10-inch screen with HD capabilities, running the new Tegra 2 chipset. This will definitely bring competition to the current iPad. I saw current as Apple is in the process of developing a new iPad rumored to have a dual core processor as well. But enough of me babbling about the Acer Iconia Tab A500, here are the full specification it will have upon launching;
- 10.1-inch capacitive touchscreen
- Full 1080p HD playback capabilities
- nVidia Tegra 2 chipset (dual core 1 GHz processor)
- LTE network
- Built-in gyroscope
- Runs Android 2.2 Froyo (will use Android Honeycomb when launched)
- Acer UI 4.5
- Clear.fi Media Share feature
- built-in HDMI port,
- Verizon Wireless 4G data plan
- 3D gaming capabilities
- Flash 10.1
- Front and back cameras

Showing Clear.fi (new feature of Acer) |
Now that is just one amazing piece of device and I will definitely try to get my hands on one of this. Any cons? I can’t think of none. This is flawless unless proven otherwise and it has not gotten the chance to as yet. This is said to launch around April this year or after. I won’t be surprised if earlier. We do not have any idea of the price but I figure it will be close to what the iPad is for. I don’t have all the specs listed but will definitely update this post when everything is more detailed. I have also included a video of this product so you can watch it in action. See video here :) Tell me what you think about this new product. Thanks for reading.

Acer Iconia (Full Review)
The New Acer Iconia
![]() |
The new Acer Iconia |
Now to the point, Acer came out with the new Acer Iconia and the first batch was shipped out in December 2010. It will be available to everyone by January 15, 2011. Depending on where you are located in the world, or the links you have, you may get this wonderful product sooner than later.
The specs are pretty good. As always Acer makes laptops that are good for any ordinary person, however, the Acer Iconia on the other hand is a little biased but I won’t get into the bad news as yet. The specs are as follows;
- Intel Core i5-560 chip
- Integrated Intel HD graphics video card
- Two 14-inch displays with HD 1366 x 768
- High Brightness Acer CineCrystal LED-backlit TFT LCDs
- 4GB DDR3 of RAM (Up to 8GB upgradeable)
- 640GB HD (Hard Drive)
- 4 cell battery (may last after 3 hours)
- 802.11b/g/n Wireless and 3G Mobile Broadband
- S/PDIF interface gigabit Ethernet
- Bluetooth 3.0+HS
- 2 USB 2.0 ports and 1 USB 3.0 port
- An inbuilt microphone
- Acer’s CrystalEye webcam (1280×1024 resolution)
- VGA and HDMI outputs
- Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit operating system

Using the Keyboard |
Now to me that’s just awesome. Now it’s time for the cons. If you have not realized the Acer Iconia has two screens therefore the keyboard and the touch pad is fully touch screen. That will definitely take some time to get use to since it’s not a phone like the HTC Desire HD or iPhone 4. Also, when this laptop comes out January 15 prepare to fork up $1,800 - $2,200 for this beauty. The only other prob that I could come up with now is the fact that if you have only 3 fingers and a thumb or no thumb, basically just four appendages on your hand this may not be for you.
All in all this is an awesome product and I really like it. If I get my hands on it I will definitely give a personal, hands-on review.

Introduction to PayBox.me
There is a new payment processor company coming out that I really like. It’s called PayBox. At this very moment they are like a ‘closed box’. What this means is that they are still developing their company and bringing in features that needs to be tested. But the good part is that they are currently paying people to use and test out the features and to spread the word. If you join now you start with a $25 balance and yes people it’s FREE. It gets better. You will get up to $20 a day just to participate and keep your account active. Plus $10 per person you refer to PayBox. All of that for you to just help shape PayBox and have benefits as an EarlyBird user.
My First Hard Drive through Paybox |
You have nothing to lose trying it out and getting paid to help them develop the payment processing company we all need. PayPal just isn’t cutting it. They are way too uptight with other peoples’ money. I have good experience with them when transactions are less than $10 and it sucks, I have big wishes :) But consider joining PayBox…the earlier the better.

Evolution of Technology, De-evolution of Man
The first computer was bulky, ugly and what should I say, slow. Basically it was the first electronic calculator and do you see the size of that. Just to do some simple calculations and that’s the size. Imagine having to make space the size of your fridge to get a computer to just calculate stuff. Well I was not born in that time so I don’t concern myself much. What I concern myself with is the way technology has evolved of the years from 1956 up to 2011.
I remember the days when computers were made with 60GB hard drives. If you bought a computer with 120GB you thought you had unlimited space (if anyone who reads this and remembers computer with less...please erase that memory). Now in modern time 500GB is nothing, jump drives are 256GB and computers now have at least 500GB of memory. But what’s even better is that the size of the computers and flash drives are way, way smaller.
Now we have not only computers but all sort of interesting things. Our phones now are like computers. Oh forgive me…they are computers basically. Calculators get as small as being a part of a watch.
Technology has evolved beautifully and with great relevance in our daily life. Technology only increases its value of purpose and rarely proves to be a nuisance. What I really love now in technology is the development of robots. Not talking the one’s used to build cars and phones, etc but the ones that uses over 40 robotic behaviors and makes 64 decisions per second to vacuum your home, along with other awesome stuff.
Now the bad part, De-evolution of men. Better yet, so no one gets any idea, De-evolution of Mankind. The picture shows where man comes from. We look way better now but with us unlike technology our evolutionary core is not so outward. Its inward, our brain. Some people may ask, what are you trying to say? How can men be ‘de-evolving’ yet man is responsible for the evolution of technologies, which increases every 3 months and gets better and better? Well my answer to all that is, how many persons in the world is actually responsible for developing technology, not much. Majority of the world are users of technology, not makers.
This is where we are now, not able to do anything without technology doing it for us. I don’t mean cleaning our house or washing our cars. I am talking about things that need the brain. How many people actually know their 9 times? Every little thing we need to calculate we use a calculator which can be found anywhere now. Our brains for majority of us are getting slow and non-responsive. Soon if our phone or laptop doesn’t give us an answer we won’t know if it’s true or false. We need to evolve with technology and stop relying on it for every little thing.
Thanks for reading :)

Second Life...Literally
Ok first as far I know 3D chat rooms or environment for people to meet began with IMVU. It was fun. With lil dough you could do stuff emoticons just cannot do. All in all it was a different and fun way to connect with people all over the world.
Now I came across Second Life. At first I was saying, ‘Oh come on…Second Life?’, but I tried it. There is no limit plus you can just talk to people from your microphone. It’s literally like having a second life in the virtual world.
This idea came to me after playing The Sims 3 and now it is here, has been here and is growing each day. I recommend it to people who have time to spare and who want to meet people and have fun with friends on the internet, in a new and different way. (I went to the club last night to party :))
