The first computer was bulky, ugly and what should I say, slow. Basically it was the first electronic calculator and do you see the size of that. Just to do some simple calculations and that’s the size. Imagine having to make space the size of your fridge to get a computer to just calculate stuff. Well I was not born in that time so I don’t concern myself much. What I concern myself with is the way technology has evolved of the years from 1956 up to 2011.
I remember the days when computers were made with 60GB hard drives. If you bought a computer with 120GB you thought you had unlimited space (if anyone who reads this and remembers computer with less...please erase that memory). Now in modern time 500GB is nothing, jump drives are 256GB and computers now have at least 500GB of memory. But what’s even better is that the size of the computers and flash drives are way, way smaller.
Now we have not only computers but all sort of interesting things. Our phones now are like computers. Oh forgive me…they are computers basically. Calculators get as small as being a part of a watch.
Technology has evolved beautifully and with great relevance in our daily life. Technology only increases its value of purpose and rarely proves to be a nuisance. What I really love now in technology is the development of robots. Not talking the one’s used to build cars and phones, etc but the ones that uses over 40 robotic behaviors and makes 64 decisions per second to vacuum your home, along with other awesome stuff.
Now the bad part, De-evolution of men. Better yet, so no one gets any idea, De-evolution of Mankind. The picture shows where man comes from. We look way better now but with us unlike technology our evolutionary core is not so outward. Its inward, our brain. Some people may ask, what are you trying to say? How can men be ‘de-evolving’ yet man is responsible for the evolution of technologies, which increases every 3 months and gets better and better? Well my answer to all that is, how many persons in the world is actually responsible for developing technology, not much. Majority of the world are users of technology, not makers.
This is where we are now, not able to do anything without technology doing it for us. I don’t mean cleaning our house or washing our cars. I am talking about things that need the brain. How many people actually know their 9 times? Every little thing we need to calculate we use a calculator which can be found anywhere now. Our brains for majority of us are getting slow and non-responsive. Soon if our phone or laptop doesn’t give us an answer we won’t know if it’s true or false. We need to evolve with technology and stop relying on it for every little thing.
Thanks for reading :)

This is so true. We do need to evolve with technology. Great post :)
