I thought long and hard as to what to talk about today and I ran across two videos from work and some interesting facts from elsewhere that I am going to share.
The facts are;
- 1,525,000,000 miles of telephone wire is strung across the U.S.
- About 166,875,000,000 pieces of mail are delivered in the U.S.
- A cat has 32 muscles in each ear.
- A company in Taiwan makes dinnerware out of wheat (make sure you eat your plateJ).
- Dolphins sleep with one eye open.
- Dogs and cats consume almost $7 billion worth of pet food a year.
- "Dreamt" is the only English word that ends in the letters "mt."
- During your lifetime, you'll eat about 60,000 pounds of food, that's the weight of about 6 elephants.
- February 1865 is the only month in recorded history not to have a full moon.
- Human thigh bones are stronger than concrete.
There are many more interesting facts that we do not need to know but it's there. You decide if it's worthless information or not. Oh but let me just include these last few which I liked.
- Women's hearts beat faster than men's.
- You're born with 300 bones, but when you get to be an adult, you only have 206.
- The word "samba" means "to rub navels together."
- The international telephone dialing code for Antarctica is 672. (Who calls there?)
- Only one person in two billion will live to be 116 or older.
